You should be able to hold your own. Yes, cubes matter but they're not the end all of racing. You should definately be a mid to low 11 easy with that 2 stage kit.

Well the Indy heads make me think hes packing a serious mill but cast pistons and crank, hes not going to high with RPMs and hes not going to handle the giggle juice too much. Im going to say you win just because he'll grenade trying to beat you. And im a Mopar guy!

Yeah the blocks are tough, its the CAST pistons that are making me wonder and the cast crank doesnt sound great either. All big block cranks before around 73 or so are forged, and all RB cranks are the same. So the fact that he chose a cst crank makes me wonder, especially if he had the money for the Indy heads.

If hes running a flat tappet tell him he needs to be using an oil high in ZINC. Tell him to try heavy duty fleet oils designed for diesel trucks such as Rotella T, Delo 400, etc or Castrol VR1 but it has to be the off road formula. He can also add additives like the one from Comp, hes probably wiping them due to the lack of Zinc in whatever oil hes using. And if hes using Synthetic to try to prevent it tell him thats probably making it worse.

You can wait until after you race to tell him though and maybe he'll wipe another lobe
