Depends on the suspension. If it's a street type suspension made for handling, probably a low 14. If it was made for drag racing, you could take off 2-3 tenths. The street suspension doesn't allow weight transfer and that takes away a little traction which translates into slower times.

Ask me why I ran "only" a 13.54.

Wow, there must be some pretty bad drivers out there if people think high 14's or low 15's from a stock 87 Mustang LX. I had a 2.73 geared 87 Mustang GT that I ran at Suffolk Raceway in Virginia that pulled 14.3's with NO modifications at all. With the air silencer removed, the timing advanced, and Bosch platinum spark plugs, I ran a best of 13.996 at 99.55. With underdrive pulleys, better tires, cold air induction, aftermarket mufflers, and the sway bar removed, the car ran consistent 13.7's at 102. Never went into the motor.

With the 3.73 gears, you would just have to come out of the hole with no revs in order to keep from blowing away the tires and from there the car should take you down the track in short order. I'd expect you to go through the traps in 4th gear to the tune of somewhere in the low 14's at about 98 mph. That, of course, is dependent on whether or not you know how to row a T5. Good luck.

I had a stock 89 5.0 sent the 5 speed to liberty transmission. All you use the clutch for is to take off and to stop so you dont kill the motor, I set a new record at TRiSTATE drag park for a 12:66 on a stock motor. Just launch with the clutch and then yank gears no clutch needed to shift....
