Default aluminum head question

I've looked at a couple sets of budget heads and I'm wondering which ones to select for my car. I noticed that I have to choose from a 175cc head up to a 210cc head and I don't know how to determined what cc to go with. They are going on my 393 stroker motor.

On a 393, and those mods with it, and for drag racing, I'd suggest going with the 210cc model. The carb and cam will support them, and will also match up to that Vic Jr intake.

Thank you my brother for the heads up!( no pun intended).
I felt the same way but it feels much better to have someone like your self second that motion.

I'm using a set of Dart Pro-1 heads on my 427 stroker. With those heads, the engine makes about 550hp, and an extremly flat torque curve. The dyno sheet is in my profile. They are also considerably cheaper than AFR 210's.

I also use Comp Cams Beehive valve springs for a little more stability at the upper rpm's.

When head hunting, be aware that the best power makers usually have the exhaust ports raised.

Those beehive springs are awesome, they take a lot of the valvetrain weight off the stem of the valve and thereby controlling the motion of the valve better. And those Darts run right with the AFR's, it's all about airflow.
