Burn out / Smoke Out, 2000 Mustang GT I have a 2000 Mustang GT Convertible and can't seem to get it to smoke in place. How do you do you peel out so hard that it starts smoking? I just can't figure it out!

You have to kind of heal and toe the brake while giving it the gas. Got to practice.

(By the way, its an automatic)
What do you mean when you say heal and toe?
So far I have tried revving in neutral then quick to drive. The car does peel out, but for like .5 seconds...
I've tried holding the brakes while I slowly give it gas. The car just goes as soon as I give it enough gas to beat the brakes.
My car does peel out by just quickly flooring tha gas (its a decent peel out), but doesn't stick.
One my my friends says I should try put water and oil/bleach in front of my tires to keep it in place.
You guys have any other tips?

put one foot on the brake and one foot on the gas. Thats how i do mine every time and it works. Are you holding the brake hard enough?

Hey, that did work. I guess I wasn't holding the breaks hard enough. I finally got it though. Thanks bro, I'll be posting a video on it real soon.

The line lock would be the thing to do, but all you do is powerbrake it like you did. Just drive out of it, don't let off the gas suddenly, that has a chance to break parts.

Put in in first so it doesn't keep shifting, hold the brakes down with the left foot just enough to hold you still, and floor the gas. Not the best thing to do for your car but we all do it here and there. Water helps produce more smoke, I've heard bleach does too but haven't tried it. Best thing to do though, simple, line locks.

I suggest installing a line loc to preserve your brakes. It's cheap, and an easy install. Good luck.

In the market for a new tranny ? Dude, don't rev it in neutral and throw it into drive, that is really hard on an auto-
tranny . Just follow the advice up above and you will be fine.
