I take my vert to a track in maryland and the only time you need a helment is if you run under a 14. Not sure if the rules differ becuase of the state or IHRA or NHRA rules. My cusion raced his car in New Jersey and they told him he needed a helment no matter what time he was running. He didnt think he needed a helment becuase the first time he raced his car was at the track that i go to race.

NHRA rules require a helmet for ALL convertables. All other cars require a helmet for 13.99 and quicker.

why not leave that question for the insurance people to figure out... unless someone would like to supply us with that little bit of impossibly somplicated information...
