hi guy ,I just get a complete engine from 97 explorer and tranny and i like to know what the best way use parts for my 89 mustang or if is better install the whole motor or any other options,thanks thats a v8 and the tranny I guess is c6

The Explorer engine is a whole different engine. It'll swap over, but it has a different cam. Be better to use the heads off of it along with the intake.

And the tranny out of the Explorer isn't a C6, Ford hasn't used that since the early 80's if I'm not mistaken. It's either a 4 speed overdrive or a 5 speed overdrive.
