Default Went to the track today. 1/8 mile analyzers wanted.

Finally got to go to the track today. I went hoping to get a 9.5 out of her. She ran pretty good exept for the first run in which she pinged like hell becase of carbon deposits. First run was a 9.85 with a friend in. Second was a 9.65 without friend in. Then I left and drove 30 miles round trip to get my friend's cars so they could race. Without cutting the car off I headed to the staging lanes and ran this.....

R/T .580
60' 2.091
330' 6.078
1/8 9.325
MPH 76.26

The track was kinda slick. I hook up better on the street than I did today. I launched at 1700 and shifted at 5400. I didn't powershift. Waited 45 minutes and ran this....

R/T .709
60' 2.121
330' 6.072
1/8 9.311
MPH 76.42

I was happy. That was on regular 265/50/15 tires, regular pressure. It went downhill from there due to the track getting real cold and traction really sucking.

So what do yall think I can run with slicks? Any suggestions to my driving style? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Good times for her first time out. I would say those would be close to mid to low 14's in the 1/4. Notice too that your 60ft. With some work you might be able to break into the 1 second range on 60 ft. times with street tires (specially when it gets warmer). With slicks I would say definately in the high 8's in the 1/8 and maybe high 13's in the 1/4 if you get the launch right.
