Wheel hop is usually due to axle twist. Stock upper control arms kinda suck, too much flex, get some tougher ones for sure. I know more about fox bodies than the 99-03 stlye though, but I think they have similar stock rear susp problems. The stock rear control arm set up allows for 4-5 deg of axle twist which is yucky. Not to mention that the stock uppers allow side to side movement of the rear axle, but that's more of a handling issue not a drag issue. A torque arm/panhard bar combo like the one from Maximum Motorsports solves both of these problems.
