Yeah that tire pressure is very high for those tires, drop them down to 22-20psi. I was under the impression that it was a 5 speed. Ok those 60 ft. aren't bad at that elevation my apologies bro, but there still is room for improvement once you lower the tire pressure. Ok than, another trick would be to follow the burnout and tire procedure and when you line up from a dead idle jus floor it. This should help flash the converter as high as possible and get you off the line a bit faster if there isn't much wheelspin. Those tires should hook pretty well, remember to try to line up in the groove as best as you can or you can have a track official line you up in it. I know some tracks, like when I lived in colorado, won't let you get in the groove unless you have slicks but it's rare.
I've been told that Bandimere's has changed its policy by not allowing street tires in the groove. The policy maybe only for CSP, "run what you brung" night. I plan on finding out this Friday or the next Friday at the latest. If this is true, fighting with Mr. Bandimere and the other track official over the last decade or so has finally paid-off. It was really upsetting to get better traction on the street than you could at the track. Some of us more seasoned racers , decided to boycott the track back in the days when you lived in Colorado. Their policy did nothing toward curtailing street racing. I will be one happy camper, if this turns out to be true.
Look into some line locks so you can really heat those tires up. They like a good burnout!
Definitely drop the pressure. Start with 20 psi.
Make sure you roll through the water box before you start your burnout, otherwise you'll throw water into the wheel well that can drip onto the tire during the run.
Roll out of the burnout. Don't dry hop it. Just let her ease forward until she catches good.
I have runners up front so for me it's not a big deal (small tire contact area). However, if your running street tires in the front you may want to try going around the water box and backing in so you don't drag more water to the line with your front tires. I've never done it that way but I know people that swear it helps.
I run my MT Et streets at 12 PSI and my slicks at 11. You really have to play with it to see what works best for you. I usually start my burnout in 1st and shift into 2nd then roll out.

If these are the MT Drag radials, I have good luck at 15 psi, and Im not done seeing how low I can go, a friend of mine runs his at 14psi.
My 1st time out I tryed 17psi, and with heat they went to 19, and I lowering them to 15psi and I gained .2 seconds in the quarter.
As far as posting timeslips....
scan and post just like a regular photo...Actually I took a pic of mine, and posted the pic...
hey bkid i just went to the track last nite for the first time with the e.t's and i found i hooked damn good with around 15psi in them i tryed 17 and 18 but cooked em off the line and down the track after every shift so try 15 or so i was pullin 1.8 60's which i think is great considering the mods i have on here

Thanks I will give it a shot. That is a great 60 ft time, man I wish I was able to do that.I could probably at a lower altitude, from what I have been told.Oh well ,I will just keep on modding untill I get there. I have something to look forward to. I have been told to try shifting the auto manually,I do not know about that though.I do not want to mess up my transmission.
So what was your et and trap speed?

yea to tell you the truth i think ima try 13 to 14 psi next round see if it helps ....i didnt try that low last time .......and dont shift it manually your doing more harm than good from what ive read and you will f it up ( again just what i read i have a 5 speed so i dunno lol ) my best was a 13.3 at 103.** which is a 1.1 second decrease from my stock times and a 6mph gain i dropped the 60ft by like .2 tenths .........man i love drag radials they are so much fun compared to cookin pirellis but deff try around the 14 to 15 range man and you'll see alot better times
oh and a little something i was told by a 1 armed pro stock street bike racer the other night " dont be scared you have to know your limits to be able to tone it down some " he was f'in with me tellin me i wasn't bangin the gears hard enough lol

absolutly no reason to manually shift a 2005 an up auto..if u think u can manually shift it better than it does itself .....YOU NEED ANOTHER TUNE ,.....good luck.
