Made a couple passes at the track Hello everyone! Last friday nite i took my bone stock 2002 GT to the track. I usually go just to watch but the urge was too much to take this time so i decided to make a pass or two just to see what it would do. especially since my 5.0 is still not quite ready to make it's return to the street. I made 2 passes both bringing the car off the line at idle. fisrt run:R/T .649 60':2.430 1/8: 9.710 1/4: 14.609@96.94mph. second run: R/T:5.38 60': 2.440 1/8: 9.807 1/4:14.711@97.19mph. I left both times from idle instead of launching the car. shifted around 5600 rpm and went thru the traps in 3rd gear. I was a little dissapointed in the times but it was the first time running the car and its bone stock. i think i could def get a little more out of it. With the trsp speed what should the 1/4 mile time be about and what is the best rpm to launch from with a 5spd on street tires? Thanks
