My Weekend: NMRA vs NMCA Superbowl of drag racing

Well I took a little trip this weekend to the NMRA vs. NMCA Super Bowl of drag racing. Took our Super Street Outlaw True 10.5 car up for the races.

Can't say it was an easy outing! We ended up pulling the oil pan on night to change the windage tray. Parts had broken loose and destroyed one oil pump which also had to be changed. Pushed the head gasket the next day and spent the whole evening pulling heads and making repairs.

In the end we went to the Semi-finals with a broke car. Car lost the #2 injector and burnt a cylinder. With not enough time to make repairs we staged the car with the hopes the other car would break or red light. Didn't happen! Still it was a great event and we're sure to move up in the NMRA points standings!
