Factory recomendations are for street driving. They dont give you a rec for strip use. I have tried different air pressures and have proof that that the best traction is not at 30lbs for my car or many people that i know that go to the track. The drag radial doesnt wrinkle like a true drag but you will get a bigger footprint at lower a/p since the dr wont cup like a street radial. I have 10k street miles(at 32lbs) and at least 35 1/4mi passes on my dr's(all with less than 20lbs) and no "burnt" edges! So i apreciate your input but i wont take your word for it.

On the Drag Strip:
Never inflate the tire to less than 12 psi.
Do not use screws to hold the tire to the rim.

I took that from the BFG website.
