95gt vs 99gt Will a 95 gt with bbk pulleys, bbk cold air induction, off road h -pipe, flowmasters, timing at 14* beat a stock 99 gt? the 95 is a 5 speed and the 99 is an auto. 95 has 315's on back and 99 has 245's

It would be close but I would put my money on the 99.

the '95 should walk the 99 assuming it is driven to its potential.

Just guessing I would say the 95 would take the 99. if the 99 was a stick I waould have to say the 99 would win. What helps you most is the pulleys and the off-road pipe. Flowmasters are mainly there for sound. No great performance increase. They just make it louder so it seams like your faster.

The 95 will still have less power than the 99', but the 5-speed could be the difference between winning and losing. It will be close.

My dads 00 GT auto vert (as slow as you can make a GT) ran a 14.5 in the middle of the summer. I highly doubt the 95 could equal that.

Alot of my ProStock buds running 8.0"s are running 2 speed powerslides with stall converters. For bracket racing they are deadly consistant. These guys dial 8.08 and run 8.10 all night long.
Of course these are trailer queens, highly specialised cars set up to do one thing run consistant.
Later.
