I haven't stepped up to one yet. Conventional thinking is that you don't need one until you're deep into the 11s.

The guys that I know with them love em. They bring the car out of the whole nice and straight with minimal twisting.

I'm running 11.50 @117 so far.I still have stock rear upper control arms and stock springs,I want to install adjustable uppers(not sure what brand yet,I may even build my own)and drag springs. From what i've been reading the roll bar should work great but would be nice to talk to someone who's" been there done that" .

If you are running 11.50's then you must already know that a roll bar is mandatory based on the NHRA rules (11.00-11.99). They definitely keep the body from twisting and stiffen the chassis. I know that on my car I was beginning to see paint cracks in the front window pillar.
When you install them, just make sure you use the NHRA handbook so that you will not have to do it twice. Material thickness, diameter and mounting points must all meet spec.

Oops..sorry. I always thought of those as anti-sway bars.

Hey ,no prob. The anti roll bars are made to keep the car straight when leaving the line and are advertised to improve 60ft times,I think this is why they call them ARB instead of ASB (sounds good anyways LOL)
Is that your car in avatar, very nice! After I'm done playing with my LX I want to get a older stang 65-68? and put a FI 408w with TKO .The good looks of a older stang and performance of a new one YeeHaw

Yep, that's my 65. Made a lot of changes this winter and hopefully one of these weekends we will have some sunshine so I can take it out and see if the improvements helped. The 65 and 66 are lighter than the 67-68, but you would have more room in the engine bay. The car hooks hard and runs on a rail and a blast to drive.

Hoping for some high 8's by the end of this season.
