 well its over!
i was at the track this weekend and i normally run 1/4 mile but are track is still having problems so its 1/8 mile. ive never run 1/8 before so its seems well really short.i have a 81 mercury capri with a 466 on the bottle. normally runs 9.0 on the bottle and 9.97 to a 10.0 on motor. since the 1/8 mile race is so short we decided to up the nos and turn up the power.i made several runs before doing this and it was running 6.00 to a 5.95 in the 1/8.made my first pass spraying 275hp shot and holly cow it was gone and ran a 5.75 at 122mph. went to run the 2nd pass and at the finish line it let go.sounded like someone held a shotgun to the pan and poof.oil and water everywhere a hole lot a smoke. that was my first reall blowup ive never had the pleasure before. so i think im done for a while. |
