Default does a good exhaust shave some quater mile times?

i have 2004 v6 mustang and i still have the stock exhaust on it and i was wondering if i go with a true dual will it help with a quater mile time i already run a 15.6 and i wanna keep it pretty quiet when im not into it like no highway drone any advise on a brand?

What kind of exhaust setup are you looking for? Really a good exhaust system will give you an extra 10hp, but it will just barely help you in the quarter mile. People mostly just get exhaust for the sound. And its good to have it if you ever go f/i.

It'll probably shave off at most .01 lol. JK, but yeah, KB is right with the muffler swap, it's mainly for sound. Try getting aftermarket mid pipe for some better hp gains with the dual if you decide to get it.

it does but .......

depends on how would it

1 if you do cutoffs after headers with no piping youd lose some weight which in turn would help et's

2 for a full exhaust to really be "feesable" you kinda have to be pushing some really hard power
ie. s197 doesn't need to upgrade from a 2.5" to 3" until the 550 to 600rwhp range ( from what im told)and really can be used up to alot higher than that my buddy was pushing 810hp on his before going to 3" but that was only due to the fact he was running a nazty turbo
