Default what flywheel I need for my c4 swap on my 5.0?

hi guy i need help finding the right flywheel that goes with a c4 tranny so i can bolted to my 5.0 mustang because the one is on the look bigger and don`t fit on the c4 tranny,from what car i can use the flywheel or have to be aftermarket.thank

1. You need a flex plate, not a flywheel. Big differance.

2. It must match the balance of the engine. Either 28oz or 50oz. I think 81 and up are 50oz; But I could be wrong about that.

3. You must have right tooth count. Up to 1980=164 teeth. 1981 and up = 157 teeth.

Go to Summit Racing and do a search for "flexplate 5.0 ford".

i think thats right about 81 or so they went to 50 oz. you need to measure the bolt pattern on your converter to make sure it matches your flexplate. a 10.5" pattern is a 157 and 11.5" is 164.depending on whether or not you already have a starter,some work for either 157 or 164.
