Default Tires are this good to race on

I have an 06gt Mustang with 4:30 gears , steeda underdrive pully and a tune. I just got a set of Dunlop sp sport max 255/40/18 would this tire be good to race on or what should i get ???

Default not a race tire

This tire is like the ones i have Eagle F-1 Supercar great street tire but not a race trire I would go with a set of mickeys or Nitto is you want a street radial or drag radial.

if your going to run them on the street, Mickey thompson ET drag radial 275/50/15. If track only, ET Drag. 26x10

I bought some M&H for next season. New combination, 331 T-76 355 rear gears 640@ 5200rpm got miss fixed but ran out of time should be close to 700rwhp @6500rpm. I hope they hook well !
