Question M/T ET Streets...to tube or not to tube?

I just traded for some valve covers I had laying around for a pair of 26/10.50/15's. They still have the tread sipes, so they should last a while. I only plan on using them when I go to the track. The guy I got them from did not run tubes with them, but did give me a set with the tires. Based on the weight of my car, I don't plan on running less than 15 psi. My question is what are the pro's and con's of running the tubes?

Man, why can't I get a deal like that. I think the tubes just keep your car from swaying while going down the track. I'm sure the pressure plays a big role in it. I'd try them out without, and if they sway too much put the tubes in.

The decision has been made for me. There is a small pin hole in one of the treads. Tubes it is!!! I'm painting the wheels black today and I'll mount up the tires and tubes Monday. Hopefully it won't rain next Friday so I can try them out.

I like the tubes in there. Are the tubes for slicks? I also used screws.

Also make sure you use a little baby powder on the inside of the ET Streets. This helps with chaffing between the tire and tube.

Yes, the tubes are for slicks. I have not done the screws, but I've marked the tire and wheel. If they move on the wheel i will take care of it then.
