I would think similarities would be more traction in weathered conditions and differences be traction control basically shuts off your engine when your tires begin to spin and t-loc limited slip you get both tires to spin at almost same speed and you gain traction in straight line

Traction lock differentials try to ensure that both tires remain engaged regardless of traction differences between the two.

Traction control tries to eliminate wheelspin of any kind by applying brakiing to the affected wheel or cutting back on the applied power to both wheels.

The first is to promote better overall traction for faster acceleration in a straight line,

The second is a safety device to aid drivers in maintaining control in slippery, low traction situations where tirespin serves no purpose.

T-lok if you want speed, T/C if you want safety personally i would go with T-lok T/C is a bother when your about to race and leave it on

also if your a good driver and know what to do in skidding / low traction situations you really dont need Traction control just makes it more fun

neither traction control or traction lock Diff have any similarities, the traction control is realative to throttle position and control electronically the seprate traction control computer completely controls the throttle response thats why you can mash the throttle and not go any faster the computer is controlling the throttle not the wheel spin, the traction lock Diff are relative to wheel spin due to torque produced by the engine mechanically plainly put centrifugal force and weight transfer between wheels
