Took my SRT to the track

Default Took my SRT to the track
So I went to Infineon Raceway on Monday to run my car... I got three runs in before I broke my drivers side axle. My first time taking the car to the track and my first time ever running on slicks. I ran a best of 12.696@112.53MPH with a 1.977 60 ft. Now I was still getting used to the slicks and I broke the car before I could run anymore. I figured out why I wasn't running my expected times though. I forgot that I was running boost by gear in first and second gear, so boost was still low in my first two gears... There should be a good amount of time and MPH left in the car.

It's all good. One of the guys that was there had a spare set of axles, so I took one of his, towed the car home and replaced it that night. Just upset that I broke the car on the first round of eliminations. My reaction times for the day were .050, .054, and .030, so I was ready!! I was still bogging the car off the line a little bit so I raised my launch RPM and I think that and 45k on the axles did me in. I had a feeling I would be breaking one sooner or later. AAA plus FTW!!! I am addicted now. I can't wait to go back. Slicks are so awesome!!
