I've seen several 1999-2004 GT's hit the high 13's with mild bolt ons, so it's possible. The main thing is if you can get your power to the ground, and have traction so you won't lose time in wheel spin.
Is this your first time EVER on a drag strip? If yes, right now you should get seat time, not worry about your number. With more seat time, the better you do. The main thing is to learn how to drive it on the strip, it's totally different than on the street.

Just expect to get a major adrenaline rush right before you pull into the water box, take a deep breath, then pull up and banzaiii...
One thing... what tires will you be running on? If your front tires will be street tires with normal tread, pull AROUND the water box and then back up into it just enough to get the rear tires wet for the burnout. If you drive through, water will get in the tread and then drip down on the starting line, causing you to spin off the line.

+100 on that! I dropped almost a full second off my ET from my first visit to the strip to the second visit.
Since it's your first time, just experiment with what RPM's your car likes to launch at without spinning your tires.
I can only launch at 2K with little spin...

Thanks for all the advice ! I will be running on street tires. I have noticed that getting the car to hook up well is the key. I want to invest in some subframe connectors next.

getting the car to hook is everything....
subframes are a must even if you don't race the car
the difference is day and night in the way the car will handle....
