Default Will Changing Gears (higher numerically) Improve My ET. ?

I'm looking to improve my ET's so I am considering changing gears in my 1965 K-Code coupe. It has an open diff. with 3.50:1 gears.

I agree, if you're going to be in there changing the gears, you might as well get a trac-lok!

You Will definately have better times if you select the correct gear. The right gear will get you out of the hole a little quicker and your engine will be at the right rpm going through the traps. A shop that specializes in rear ends and gears can tell you what the percentage change would be depending on the gear you choose and what rpm range you want motor in when you go through the traps.
