Default Do You Run 1/8 Or 1/4 Mile

I perfer 1/4 mile........

But i like 1/8 mile to set the suspension

also use 1/8 mile to work on launching the car & my reaction time

saves wear and tear on the car.....

What about you ?????

1/4 is best, 1/8 mile track is closer (20 miles as opposed to 110 for 1/4).

I'm not a big fan of the 1/8th mile. It seems like it's over before it starts. When the NMRA's came to BB, they only run brackets in the 1/8th even though I ran the 1/4 in True Street. They say it saves time, but it really doesn't......

I prefer to run the quarter mile. Have never ran on the 1/8 mile though.

1/8 mile to me is like premature e#*!(!*tion the party is over before your car is getting started. I think 1/4 mile makes for better racing since there's more room for a "comeback" or top end charge. JMO

I prefer the 1/4 much like everyone else.

The 1/8th mile is good for tuning the car as Rig had said. The only problem is around here all we have for 1/8th is HMP and that place is a cracker box! The shutdown is short (better be on the brakes FAST) and the lanes are narrow (Place is known for eating cars)!!

I've always run the 1/4 and the fun's over too soon as it is. Don't think I'd like the 1/8, but if it's all I had I'd run it.

I like 1/4 mile, although I've never ran the 1/8.

I agree with everyone else, that the 1/8 seems like the fun would be over before you knew you were having any...

Prefer quarter mile, but my track only has 1000 foot timers right now.

we run both. a lot of the fast class's are only 1/8 mile around here now. I like the speed of the 1/4 but I like the 1/8 mile if your tune is a bit off most of the time you can still get down the track and don't hurt parts
