Yea like that track I run at in Delaware they only offer bracket race, no heads up except for special races like when they bring in the real street and pro street, and like ram racing.

Watch??? Throw your $20.00 dollars in a try a race.
That is were all the fun is.
Try it once and you just might find that you will be hooked.
It takes a lot of skill to do the same times over and over.

I love bracket racing. To me, it is a race between both cars and both drivers. Heads up is fine but there is always someone out there with more money and resources that will build a faster car than me and thats no fun to me. With brackets, it brings everyone down to a level playing field. You need to be really consistant with your driving, really know your dial in with conditions being a big factor, and know how to wait if you have the faster car. Nothing makes me happier than beating a guy with way more money in his car and that is way faster but just can't get the whole package together. Man, all this talk about racing makes me want to go out and race now! Too bad it'll be probably another 2 months before the roads clear up and I get my car to the track.

I'm afraid of trying it because I know I will get hooked on it then I will want to do a better car than I have the money for. But yes, throwing in $20.00 and having a good time is all that matters, win or loose.

This is a good point. In heads up racing the guy with the extra deep pockets will always beat the guy who's on a more limited budget. Even if you are a better driver you still won't beat a guy who can afford to build a car that's a lot faster than yours.

In bracket racing how much money you have is relatively unimportant. Sure there's still some things that can help you if you can afford them, but a driver who is really good at this style of racing will still be successful even if the other driver has a lot more money to spend. The skill of the driver is more important than the price of his equipment.
