At the track i ran a 14.7...And this is spinning through first and then hitting second and going sideways,(just a little bit) On the street it hooks like a champion. Little spin through 1st and a nice chip in 2nd.! I raced my buddys 91 stang, that ran a 14.5 and beat him by a car and a half! He was mad the first time and we ran it back 3 times! He was highly upset to say the least after talking alot of trash about walking all over me.Street tires are chitty on the track that i am at in michigan.I tried lunching at 1,500...Rev it up to that and pop the clutch and give it gas..vrrroom spung through first, 2nd vrooom spinning still....ugh....I even feather the clutch and spin spin spin...Just bought new tires for the sucker too. Im thinking about some street stickys! .....but i think i would rather spend that money on some gears or underdrive pulleys. doesnt it suck not to have money to spend on your car! lol...I have the 5.0 blues,but the car is running strong and never ever breaks down so i should be happy about that

Mine is definately faster on the street. I purchased the Firestone firehawk SZ50 EP's and they hook great on the street barely any spin and handle great in the rain but take it to the track and its like i'm driving on ice. I lost at least .5 at the track due to spin and the 60' times went up to over 2.0. The stock bald goodyears hooked better at the track. I just don't get it. They put rasin down to help get the track sticjy but it makes street tires no longer track. They even do this on street night. I feel your pain...

My car is definitely faster on the street. I can't spin second gear even if I try on the street and I can't keep from spinning in second at the track. I also have brand new tires but it doesn't make a difference. And thats without the NAWWWWWSS.

Well also most people race on the street sometimes more than 1/4 mile, sometimes less..

My car only feels great at the track when it hooks up. When you get s sick hook you'll know. You will think your cars a 12 sec car when you hook up good. Then you get the slip and see a 14.2 or 1. Then your like damn it need more cash to through at this thing.

I seem to always hook better on the street..most of the time ar least. I was running 13.80@100 at the track before the SC. The day I ran in the 12's they put alot of stick studd down..and it planted pretty good! 1.90 and a 1.91 with a 3000 rpm launch. My car is real fast on the street. I used ot beat anything off the line before the SC and got 5.2-5.3 0-60 times on gtech.

I am much faster at the track. I run faster than my brother's Tahoe at the track but he kills me on the street.

I've only been to the track twice. But when I have run, sometimes the car feels fast, sometimes it doesn't. Same thing when I'm on the street. Sometimes it's fast, sometimes it's not. I can't say much anymore. My car is crazy fast now.

Not really sure I can burn them both places seem to stick sometimes at the track better... but they are really really really old tires

I always hook better at the track, Its tough to do a good burnout to heat up the ET Streets at a stoplight without attracting too much attention.
