Hey guys...i finally installed my mark vii e-fan (sitting in garage for about 10 mths now) and 170 amp alt...it was a breeze on the alternator side...only took but 5 minutes to re-wire for the 3 g hook up....about another 5 minutes to grind down part of the bracket...it took alot longer to get the e-fan to fit just right....some trimming around the shroud...all in all it looks VERY factory....i must say it was a real tight fit....BUT it was well worth it...i can feel the difference!!! I hope i picked up a tenth or two by swapping the direct fan with the e-fan...

I also order the pro launch # 1 system from BASELINE...really great stuff...i received the suspension early last week but i didnt want to put it on just yet...well...i decided to install the lowers today and it only took about an hour....feels tighter already...i went with the solid bushings...a little noise doesnt bug me...anyhow, the track has been shut down for the past 3 weeks due to some maintenance. Rumor has it that it will open up on the 18th...so if all goes well i'm gonna hit the track and HOPEFULLY have that 12 second timeslip on the stock motor...

Just thought i'd update where i'm at...the uppers look very tempting...maybe i'll try to get them on this saturday...

the stock lowers were actually in pretty good shape...the bushing looked very good...i guess i replaced them cause i was worried about screwing one up during one of my launches...

next up is an aluminum driveshaft...

well that stuff won't get the car hooking up any better sitting on the garage floor....

when you install the driveshaft be sure to used the bigger u joint....

thats true!

I just wanted to get there (12.9x) with the least amount of mods possible so people can see that you dont need much to make a 5.0 hit a 12.9x....

i think the car will go 12's with stock control arms...BUT since i did pay some good $$$, i might as well get them on!!!

I could see all those parts combined equalling out to a tenth or maybe two off your quarter mile.

only one way to find out...

i feel more with the e-fan swap then i did with my u/d's...my u/d's gave me 2 tenths and thats cause the u/d's only give about 5-7 rwhp
