Thumbs up Predictions anyone? PART 2

Hey guys,

Good news...nothing wrong with the car...just the driver . Here is what I ran today:

60' ... 1.710
330' ... 4.875
1/8 ... 7.516
MPH ... 93.13
1000 ... 9.796
1/4 ... 11.729
MPH ... 116.20

Again I still pedal braked it...no transbrake...yet.

I ran it this time with the tires down to about 16 PSI.

Here's a link to the video on YouTube:

That's more like it! I think you still have a lot left. I predict you'll see 10's this year.

And i quote from your 1st thread....

well based on the 1/4 mph it should be it be running low 12's to high 11's

not to sugar coated the 60' is bad....

if i wasn't a mod i'd say your 60' sucked.....
(not suppose to say things like that..)

get that car to hook and it will fly.....
tell me i don't know what i'm talking about..

Numbers look real good ....

BUT there is still some left on the table.....

Nice job.....

I'm basing this prediction on the fact that I expect to run mid 11's this year and you have more motor in a similar weight car, so you'll be faster. Also I think you're at the point right now where each trip to the track will still see significant improvement, as you get more familiar with your car.

You might as well plan on a roll bar since it's needed at 11.49 and I don't think there's any doubt you'll exceed that.

Keep up the good work!

I think 10's are very possible. You're still leaving on the foot brake. I want to see you leave on the transbrake!

You might need to tune the suspension some more but your 60' should drop. What you cut out of the short end will make a HUGE difference on the big end.

Remember, it takes WAY more power to back half a car!

Thanks! You were right last time, so I am sure you're right again. When you break mid 11s do you plan on getting a kit cage or have it fabricated from scratch? Good luck with your car, I am sure it's badass

Thanks PLstang, I am itching on that transbrake! ha ha. Only problem is...when the car was originally built I was expecting to have it as a weekend cruiser and sometimes drag car so the motor mounts in there aren't exactly set up for using the transbrake (I could always go solid mounts though), but after going to the track I am addicted and I wanna go faster . Good luck with your '07 GT, those numbers look like it's a monster. Heh, I went up against a very low 9 second car yesterday and I thought my car was broken (that sucker made my car look like a grocery getter!)

I installed a Competition Engineering 8 point over the winter. The price was right but it did take a lot of grinding to get everything fitted up. I will say this, it really tightened the car up. I thought it made a big difference when I put the SFC's in, but this is another world of tight.

You mentioned that you were considering going with solid motor mounts. I have them and don't see any problem with using them. With a Windsor stroker under the hood I will just assume that a smooth, quiet ride is not a priority!

Thanks man. I will keep you guys posted.

Yeah, I didn't get to talk to him, but that car appeared pretty much stock (stock wheels & pretty quiet) he ran 12.3 @ 110 with a 1.7 60' I was surprised to say the least! Very much a sleeper.
