Default Another coil over spring question???

I've asked in the past about spring rating and length. (Refresh 93' lx w/ 460). I've been talking with a few on which to get and I have that figured out. Now as I'm getting ready to order don't know which dia. to get, 2.5 in dia??? I've seen some from the good friends on ebay brand new through QA1 but looking at their (QA1) website they don't list what I want (14" 175lbs.) Is ebay posting bogus stuff? How come on ebay I can get 2 for $55-75 and when searching summit/ jegs and others they want that amout a piece?

Even though I know what I want, how do I know if it is really for drag racing applications?

Reggie any knowledge on this????

14" is what several people suggested for my application and is what they are also using. Said that you get perfect weight transfer.

That's why I was questioning it. You really don't know what you are getting so I was trying to get all the specs to start asking them questions. I called QA1 and they do offer that spring!

Since I know they do make it, now it's time to start price shopping. I'll look for the QA1's and stay away from Ebay on this.

i guess with all the torque of the BB it makes sense with the 14' spring.....

Default Follow up!!!

I bought and installed a set of QA1's (14-175) from Jegs. The springs that were on there were diffinetly for SB applications. The ride height can be adjusted up without worry of coil binding which in turns give me more header clearance. The car sits awsome now. Still no tracks open yet so I at least drove it around the block!

This all goes back to one of my original posts on here about getting the rear end down. The car sits level now. Those springs changed the whole stance of the car. Man...... I can't wait til we get to the tracks. So far 1st date is 4/18.

The longer the spring the more energy it can store thus better weigh transfer.
