Default Fun day at the track in the 2006 Mustang GT

Wow what a day. I finally beat that camaro , and this new Viper that just kept coming back for more.
I still am getting the spray down. The problem is I need the spray in the begining. I did not have any pressure, the tank was cold.
I ran my best trap speed on the motor only of 101.239. My best time now is 13.137 with a 112.687 mph. I can do a lot better If I go to the track with a full Nitrous bottle. I did not spray till I hit 3rd gear first run. The second run I hit it in second gear. Then I realized I could hit it sooner , which helped. I need to just spray all the way if I can.

That's so cool. Thanks for remembering us and post a video. I've been following your thread about the Zex kit install. I want to do that so friggin' bad I can almost taste it!! Good to see your set-up is working for you. I have no doubt your going deep into the twelves once you bring that bottle pressure up and really learn to stick that juice!! Great going!!

Thank you for the support , and following the thread. You will love it if you get the kit. I want another bottle, that one went to fast. I had 3 runs on the dyno before I ever got to the track. Oh and one street run,Not sure if that hindered me any?

Man I'm so close to just ordering a kit. I can't really afford a blower but I can swing a grand for some Nitrous. I just got cold feet...I admit it. Cars barely a year old...huge payment. All I need is a stinkin' noid to freeze on me and it'll be in my driveway until the tires rot. lol I sure would love to be in the twelves on track day though. You know of any over the counter prescription for..."GROW BALLS" lol

Man you will love it and at your altitude you may be in the 11`s. I admit after watching that Bullit at my track go across the lanes and hit the wall ..OOOH .I did not want to be the next statistic. The thing is if you feel it going bad , let off the gas quickly and race again. I was feeling it all out. That is what you got to do. Never go all out. Yea there are a lot of horror stories about Nitrous blowing motors up . I was very worried about that for sure. I still worry, that is why a air/fuel meter guage is my next buy. I did a lot of research on it also, which helped me feel more at ease.
IF you do get a kit , call Doug at Bama . Tell him Billy sent you , you will get a killer deal. You will also get a tune for the 75 shot and the 100 shot.

I hear ya'. I've been researching Nitrous threads for over a month now. Some guys even take the trouble to run two Nitrous solenoids in series. That way if one should stick open the other would close and shut off the juice. I'm almost there Bro...almost there.
There's a guy at ModdedMustangs that is the resident "juicer" and he's ran twenty bottles thru this system last season. I'm really close to getting it..

Oh yeah..about that Bullitt hitting the wall. I heard someone say they actually got in touch with him and he told them that his left front tire blew and he couldn't control it.

Nice job Bkid!!

Glad to see you got that thing going.

Oh, and yes those dyno runs and street pass might have hurt you a little at the track. The bottle was probably a little weak.

I like that kit as well, are you talking about 07 procharger? Yea I was there when the bullit spun it`s tires all the way down and just lost control. He did not have a blow out he just did not know his limitations. Another words he just went balls to the wall man.Litterally. I feel bad for him, and saw the car afterwards it was sad.

The zex kit I got from Bamachips.com and it was like 500.00 . I bought a pressure gauge for 43.95 shipped.A very nice friend was gracious and helped me out with the blow down tube and some other goodies, I have not figured out how to use yet. I did all the work myself. The install is clean and the tech did not even notice I had Nitrous. Unbelievable.

That is why I like the Zex kit and Bama tune. Doug AT Bama is a very good tuner. I am going to get a custom tune from him when he comes out west. I will have to drive to A.Z. ,only 1 state away. You need colder plugs , and an A/F gauge would be good also. I checked my plugs and they looked great. I pulled all 8 plugs; so I feel better.

Oh man it feel great! When I first raced the Viper, that was my first run. I did not hit the juice until the other end of the track. I was about 2 car lengths behind him and hit it. I passed him like he was sitting still. I looked over at him, and he looked like; I can not believe this. I waved. He kept trying to beat me all day. I did not let that happen. When the day was over he came up to me and we laughed and complimented each others cars. It is so much fun out at the track, win or loose . I just love it.
