Default S197 1/4 Mile Time...

I was wondering what kind of 1/4 mile time any of you were making in your S197s stock or with mods. If with mods please list them.

I'm with you in the 60' and close on the 1/8th. What happened to me on the big in? Maybe I should also consider lowering my gear in the back. I have a 3.89, someone suggested down to a 3.27? This will really boost my MPH but don't know about times.

The lower gear will help you on the big end when using a power adder....

Ran high 13's stock with less then 10,000 miles when I bought it in 2006. Threw on a CAI/SCT tune and ran low to mid 13's. Changed to a Bama 92 Performance tune and feels much faster. However since the closure of our track a few years back, haven't had the chance to run it. My car is an auto, I was able to run quicker times by manually shifting it. TCS and O/D were off with about a 1/4 tank of gas. But with the new Bama tune I believe it's much quicker to just leave it in Drive.

Well my car don't 60' like a 1000rwhp car should.

It get's out of the hole good but not great. It has a lot to do with weight distribution and that heavy cast 5.4 in the front don't help things! The car likes the big end, no doubt about it! Once she's moving she covers some ground!

I have the car set up to braket race. Usually 14.00 to 14.20 at 100+mph with a 2.15x 60'. Pretty stock and mods are in my signature. Again this is bracket racing mode not the quickest. My "fast" setup best was 13.14@103.

5600 ft elevation and 12.162 best so far.I think I can do better though. My trap was 110.214 , my 60 was 1.72. I may lighten the front end up a bit.

your car is picking up on the big end......

if you can lower your 60' a 1/10 the car has 11 sec potential.....

With a new set of DR`s I just might be able to. The launch on that last run will be hard to duplicate,I think. I won`t know until I try again. If I can hook on a full bottle, and bottle pressure just right , I know I can. I had my best run on the 3rd pass so the bottle may have been a bit weak.
