Default The '02 is Ready

I'm taking it to Beech Bend on Tuesday night for T&T. Our numbers are not quite there yet, but I need some track time to figure out where the fall-off is. We are thinking the convertor is too loose, but won't know until it hits the track. It should trap around 135+. This is the first time with a C4, so if all checks out, we are going to up the boost to 20 or so......

Stock block. There are basically no aftermarket parts for our motors, so you need to know what makes them tick in order to successfully build them. We have a close knit circle of friends around the country who we share information with, so that helps......

Several have made pitches to the big companies. It requires at least $125,000 for them to tool 25 blocks minimum. Young kids with V6's don't have 5k+ hanging around for just a bare block. We could only round up about 7 or 8 of us willing to purchase them. Besides, the '01+ blocks are good for infinite hp as we know it because of the webbing and we haven't split one yet......

Well, we got her down the track. It's a beast to learn to drive at first, but I got a 10:25@134.59 with a 1:62 60ft. No MSD box or 2-step launching at 4,500 off the transbrake. 9's are just around the corner once the MSD gets here and we up the boost a bit. I let out of it a bit at the end because it seems that we are experiencing some spark blow-out without the MSD. I had to bypass it on the dyno because it wasn't firing correctly.

It was a fun night all in all.......

it still amazes the numbers that forced induction cars can lay down with the low 60' numbers.....

that thing is going to be a beast.....

I used a boost a spark to solve that problem on my 8.

Yes there is a lot left on the table , he has plenty of fuel with his new pump , when he gets the new MSD dis-4 on there and a new tune even if he chose to leave the boost alone he is well into the 9's Congrats Tom

Default Update:

Car is still missing, but I ran a 6.83@114mph(1.83 60ft) the other night granny'ing it out of the hole so I can find out where the trouble lies. The MSD and adpters took a crap on me, so it is back to the stock ignition until those get sent back and fixed. Datalogging it, it seems everything is fine and not even registering a miss on the log, but it happens as the load gets past 1.6+. When we dyno'ed it, our load was only 1.3, so maybe the miss is from a lean condition under real-time load. Rpm's from 5000-6,800 happen in a split second, so it is hard to tell unless we log it. MAF count, spark, and everything else seem to be in line.

Eric, any ideas?

NMRA's are 3 weeks away, and this car needs to make its' debut to the racing world.......
