Will I be able to hook?Sometimes if I do not heat the MT`S up enough I will spin out of the hole. I also hear the M&H`s will not last as long. I would like More Rpms ,if I can hook. I was told that I would hook very hard with the M&H`S. Will a taller tire help me lift the front end up more,or will it push me out harder?

Bkid, the taller tire will help the roll out if the car is too much out of the hole. What gears are you running?

The MT/Et Street radials also come in a 18 45/305 which is a 29" tall tire. I run that one on the street with the GT.

I not think the 18 MT`S will work on my 17x 8.5 stock bullet wheels. I am running 3.73`s , I may have 4.10`s put in this week.

Ooops! Sorry thought you were running 18's.

Well if your going to the 410's a taller tire might be worth it. If your going to stay 373's you probably don't need it.

The car doesn't look like it's real violent at launch. What are your RPM's when you go through the traps?

FYI the 17"s are only 8" wide the 18"s are 8.5" wide

No need to apologize Pl. The car is not real violant out of the hole.If I get a new Torque converter that may change, not sure.I think I just might go to some FRRP 4.10`s just not sure if they will be as strong as the US racing gears. Have your heard of PTC torque converters?
I do not have a clue as to what rpm I am going through the traps. I have been concentrating on my trap speed to much. Sorry I wish I knew. I am still pretty new to this, I guess.

The FRRP gears are just fine for your application....

You may want to talk to these guys about your converter.....

Thank you for the info on the Gears and converter. Still do not think FRRP are as strong as US gears . I have heard a lot of guys complaining about how they did not last that long. I also know there are 2 types , the ones with the letter A are the best. They are made in America. Go figure.

Well before you make too many changes go through the traps and see what your RPM's are at. That's going to be a factor in a couple decisions you make.

On the TC are you having any issue blowing through it right now (does it sometimes feel like the clutch is slipping on a manual car)?

If it were me I'd see what RPM's I'm trapping at. Then maybe go to the taller tire. See where I'm trapping at then swap the gears. Check and see where the gears and tires put you at and then you should have a good idea of what type of stall you want on the car.

Oh and I run FRPP 355's in my car with no issue. And it's the ones with the letter "M" in the part code that are made by Moser and tend to whine.

I am not blowing throught the TC right now. I was thinking it could help me launch from a higher RPM. If I spray out of the whole it may get me into a higher power band. I think I may stick with the good ol stand by tires that I used all last season. MT 275/40/17 DR`S. I am think I will stay with my 3:73`s for now, because my trap speed is pretty high; and I am afraid going up would change that.

Congrats on the nice times.

I have FRPP 3:73's with 28" tires on my '02 with no problems.

What are your trap rpm's now? That will tell you if you need to go bigger or smaller with the gearing or tire height.......
