Second time with the Shelby and I think I need a clutch!!
Well took the Shelby out again Friday while the wife ran her R/T.
The first pass seemed ok the humidity was 82% and the temps were around 83 so I wasn't expecting much. However, when I was shifting, second was a little tough...made a second pass later and the trans kicked 2nd back at me! Been through this before when I had the 6 speed in the GT with the stock clutch.
Time for a new clutch! These little stock GT500 twin disk clutches weren't designed for a lot of power.....or power shifting!! LOL

Yeah, ran 11.82 and the track didn't say anything. However, since the darn clutch started acting up I only made 2 passes. I'll swap the clutch and see what she does then. Seem to leave soft and nose over no matter what I did both times. That one she just didn't want to go into 2nd. The second time it just spit it back at me!LOL
Here's momma's run. She really hasn't gotten use to the car yet. Her 350Z was much lighter and left pretty decent with out foot braking it. She just floored it this time with the ESP (Dodge TCS) on.
We just got done doing a little burnout and foot braking class at my office. The employee's will probably wonder why there are burnout marks all over my parking lot tomorrow. It's a decent size parking lot in an industrial section and nobody is around on the weekends so we had plenty of privacy.

Well Monday the car gets a cold air and tune (Richards going to put her on the dyno). Then I have some Kooks long tunes coming for the car and either MagnaFlows or Corsa exhaust (she can't make up her mind).
Then we'll try it again!
I haven't heard back from KB on the price for the Mammoth yet. They told me they had it tested for the 5.7 last week. Just waitting on a price now. They told me they would ship me a preproduction kit if I wanted it.
I'm hoping for a low 12 second car. I have to remember this is her daily driver......no getting to crazy with it!!

Yes a low 12 second car would be a bit crazy for some Women. My wife does not like to drive my mustang. You got a good one , that will race along with you. That is quite nice. Great looking car she has there. So your getting some Kooks LT`S for the Shelby? Are you going with an off road X-pipe or cats?

Nope, the only thing the Shelby is getting is a new clutch. Probably a Spec super twin disk, P trim.
The exhaust is for her Challenger!

If memory serves me isn't old blue a street car....
so a 10 sec mopar daily driver would fit in well.....
Yeah, but loading kids in and out of a car with a roll cage can be such a pain!!
Nope 11.5's about as fast as that one is going to go....when she's ready!
If she wants to go faster I'll let her drive Ol'blue!

She's not old enough to be on the line yet (only 11). She get's a little older I'll get her to do the video! I suck at video!! I'm not even allowed to do video on Christmas morning!!
