I was a bit disappointed at my driving skill (or lack of it) tonight.
First run good burnout forgot my shades,the sun blinded me, couldn't see my gages at all. Left to low an rpm and bogged, then hit the rev limiter in 1st and second gear and guess shifted the rpm in the other gears, managed a 12.58 at 115 mph. Second run, launched at 4800 rpm and blew off the tires(2.459 sec 60'), hit the rev limiter in first (again) and ran a brutal 13.09 at 112 mph.
Hot lapped for the third run, launched to low again and bogged,short shifted at 5800 rpm and ran another 12.58 at 114 mph.
Disappointed because I know the car has so much more in it. My best 60' was only a 1.92. Yuck!!
Our track is at 2200' above sea level and the DA last night was around 2500.
Plus no VHT on the track and tons of delays.
Oh well at least I ran better than the guy in the C6 Z06 that was running 13 flats.

My favorite run of the night was actually my slowest. (When I smoked the tires bad). I ran a guy that trailered a cool old hotrod down to the track. He just kills me out of the hole but I chased him down and beat him by .8 of a sec.
Check out the Fox body Mustang I race in my last race. He gets the front wheels off the ground on a 12.35 at 112 mph run. I ran a 12.58 at 114 mph, he got a .2 sec holeshot and .2 sec faster run so he beat me by .4. If only the track was 50 ft longer I would have caught hom.LOL.

Haha! I've actually tried to do a burn out and killed the car.......twice.... before realizing I forgot to turn off the traction control.
On the good side the car looks like it's running well!!

Hey, at least you had fun...right? I am surprised the C6 Z06 was only pulling off low 13s...talk about traction issues! Seat time is the key as I have learned.

Yeah it's always a blast at the track, lots of cool people, here was one of the C6 Z06's better runs(black one - far lane).

I did that at a car show once. You know how everyone does a burnout when they leave. I tried to do mine and it bogged down. Damn traction control!!!!!!
