I think that car might be short a few bars to go sub 7.50. Which is probably why they are letting it go. It won't fit a Super Street Outlaw class (minitubs, backhalfed, firewall). So it would have to go Pro outlaw and that's a sub 7 field.
It would be great for Grudge racing and local stuff. Just wouldn't be something you could compete in say NMRA with.
Hard to be sure from the pictures but that's just my guess. SSO and PO have really picked up the speed and times in the last two years. Odds are this was a long term project that got caught in the middle of that and now doesn't fit the owners needs.
And yes, it's always cheaper to pick up someone Else's car then to build one from scratch. You just really have to know what you want when you do it!
