Just so everyone knows I'm still In one one piece and so is Ol'blue!

Been at the shop till late last night and back at it again this morning. We finally got the car on the Dyno late yesterday around 4 made a pull to get a baseline on motor and .......................the blower decided to give us crap.

I know anticlimactic to say the least!!

When Richard pulled the car on motor it made 658rwhp and the boost gauge wouldn't go above 20lbs. looks like the blower has decided to give us issues again.

We went ahead and compression tested the motor this morning and all is good. The problem is definitely in the blower (Whew)!!

We'll pull it apart Monday and see if the compressor needs to be serviced or if we just need to rebuild the snout again. The snout has some plastic pieces in it that are there to protect the rotors and such but can wear out, especially with the abuse we give this thing.

Definitely!

I was pretty darn dissapointed. I'm not going to lie. But if there is something wrong in the blower and it's not the snout the stress of thumbing the nitrous into it might have caused it to let go!!

Rather not vent my hood with a KB pulley!!

Nope that belt sings!!

I have swapped all the pulleys on the car to make it as tight as possible.

Darn thing is so tight after the burnout I throw it in neutral. Otherwise the instant drag will slow the pulley so fast it will pull the snout drive assembly apart!! LOL

(Yeah, Done that!!)

Thats some power. How much weight reduction have you done to your car out of curiosity?

NOT ENOUGH!!

She weighs in at 3800lbs. She has all the good stuff PS, PB, EL, EW, A/C, Stereo, etc!

What I have done is lightened the car with Racing seats, Aerospace brakes, K-member, all the normal things! The problem is I have a massive 5.4 cast block in there and a big blower stacked on top of it! That ain't light!!

The anxieties of having your car go up on the dyno are incredible.

At least it might be the snout and nothing else. Anticlimactic, yes, but that is racing......

Do you plan on doing any more? Also what kind of seats did you get and how much did they help? Also can you keep power seats with them.?

The anxiety that I had when I put my car on the dyno after installing my Zex kit was nuts. I know it is only a little Zex kit. I was the one who installed it so I could not watch with both eyes open. Infact I first stepped around the corner praying it would not blow up. I know , how ridiculous.
I wonder how Plstang is doing, not that is anxiety.Hope all is well.

Adding any type of power adder and throwing it up on the rollers is stressful. You are at the mercy of the operator and trust is a must. When my cars go, I'm the A/F guy so I know what is happening and when to wave it off.

Yes, where is Eric? Maybe his wife took his car away from him because she wants to drive it......
