I finally got out to the dragstrip again last night for the first time since installing 3.73 gears and making some minor engine tuning adjustments. Last time out i ran around a 14.2 @ 95mph. Not good. I was hoping for a lot better this time, but got this:
I thought this was really odd because my ET's are about the same, but i picked up 10mph!!
So what do you guys think: time for more suspension work or just a good set of drag radials? Right now I'm running 245/40/17 Fuzion ZR1's. Suspension is mostly stock except for lakewood traction bars in place of LCA's.

YOU need some good drag radials. Mickey Thompsons are what I use. I think you need some traction. Your times will improve. The hotter it gets the slower your time will be as well.

they will fit, I had been wondering if the 275s will fit on a 17x8. went to the track and ran my car, a guy there had a mustang with stock 17x8 running the MT DR 275/40 and they fit fine.
I even asked him if they are stock 8"rims and he comfirmed it.

She might have a little "sachet" at the big end with that wheel tire combo, just so you know.

Yeah, nothing like getting loose at 100+ mph to spice up your life. I could probably run a little bit higher pressure to eliminate that problem though, right?

It might help a bit. Just the combo that make it very likely.
It won't necessarily "get loose" but you may feel some sway in the rear, some "sachet" as we like to call it in Texas!
As long as you know it might be coming you won't freak out if it does happen. It's a different feeling from being loose. You need to know the difference and I'm sure you'll figure it out. My car gets some sachet at times, especially when the slicks are starting to get whipped. It's not so much scary as distracting when you don't know it might be coming!
Just wanted you to know what you might have at the big end! Half the battle is being prepared!
