I have an 88 lx aod. It has

24 lbs injector
70 mm throttle body
bbk cold air intakecobra intake
4.11 gears
I cam but i don't know which one, it was in the car when i got it
fresh tune up


the car just feels weak
my time was

60ft --------2.414
330ft ------6.615
mph --------70.53
1/8th ------10.082

i just got the car, so I don't know a whole lot about it. The only codes i am getting is for the smog pump removal.

any help would be appreciated

my first guess would be your tranny. you got good gears, however, without the right torque converter and shift kit, an AOD truly deserves the name "slush box" I would say that your 60's are a good representation of this.

If the car wasn't tuned properly for the injectors, it will cause it to run dead rich, it will consume a lot of gas and run really slow.

24 lbs are too much... run a set of 19s, and you'll be much better off. Seriously, a clicked a 2.3 60' and a 10.9 1/8th in my 2.8 Camaro.

Mentioned before but... was your computer reset for the 24s? Or what is it you 'stang guys do... a recalibrated MAF?
