Default Ordered 2-step/WOT box

Yesterday I ordered this thing:

N2MB Racing - WOT Box

I wanted it mainly because it's very hard to get good consistent launches with this hydraulic clutch. I spray the nitrous in 1st gear, but but never right off the line...seems impossible to do with a manual. So now I am wondering if I can launch this sucker with the 2-step and spray at the same time.

What it does is cut the ignition to hold the rpms upon launch by alternating coils. Will I be able to spray the 100 shot while it's doing this or am I looking for trouble with nitrous backfire ?

Yes I have the Zex unit which goes off of TPS plus a window switch. So basically the accelerator must be all the way to the floor AND be in my rpm window of 3K - 6K.

P.S. The 2-step brings the rpm's up by pushing the pedal to the floor and holding it. Obviously this would trigger the TPS sensor in the controller, but not necessarily the window switch if it is less than 3K.

technically that should work i personally don't like it...

what i would recommend would be a nitrous controller that would introduce the spray at a time interval.....

I know you don't have a DIS 4 Plus like I do, but there is a timing delay wire, in addition to the 2-step, to delay the WOT switch. Read over your instructions......

They made that primarily for your situation.....

Actually, I would like to spray off the line if it is possible. I just want to make sure it's safe with the ignition skipping around like that. I assume it would be because it's not cutting off the fuel causing it to go lean. I already have the capability to skip spraying in 1st gear if I choose to.

Correct, but most people launch at higher than 3k on the 2-step, so the WOT switch and injectors will read that it's okay to fire the nitrous solenoid......

Which MSD box did you get?

I didn't get the MSD box. See the link in the first post. It's made by N2MB Racing. It has more features than the MSD box.

Ah, sorry...... I read it quickly and missed the link. I know nothing about that system, but I don't see why it would not work. I have known people to go back and convert their hydraulic clutch to cable for that very reason......

I'm trying to kill my stock clutch launching with nitrous for that very reason lol. Love it for daily driving, but it blows at the strip.
