You shouldn't be lunching and driving at the same time.

(I think 2k would be fine... How experienced of a drag strip driver are you?)

around 2000 should be good
youll have to get a feeling for the car and track to fine tune it.

As it has been said many times over there is no magic rpm to launch your car.....

if the rpm is too high you will blow the tires off the car.....

if its to low the car bog and fall on its face......

2000-2500 is a good starting place.....

with street tires dont dump the clutch. kinda "feather" it out. release quickly enough not to burn the clutch. but not to quick you blow the tires off the line

Be sure to put both tires in the flat black areas of the track.

Launching mindset should be simular to this:
Its raining out and your sitting stopped at a red light. The light just turned green and you glance up in your rear view mirror to see a semi honking down on you. Your only excape is to outrun the truck. Launch as hard as you can on the wet street. Feather the clutch and apply as much gas as needed to keep the tires from spinning yet still getting away as fast as possible.
