Default Question with line lock brakes??

When setting brakes, does it matter how hard you push on the brake prior to hitting the switch? Meaning should I be pushing the crap out of the brake as if I'm trying to lock them up then hitting the switch? Does the solinoid add a boost to the line before applying?

Inquiring mind want to know? Mines don't seem to hold well.

The harder you step on the brakes the more pressure that is in the front lines and therefore will hold your car better. The line lock does not ADD pressure, it just lockes what pressure(how hard you step on the brakes) thats already in the front lines. So... Mash the brakes, hit the switch and let the smoke roll!

I was just in the garage toying with it. I pumped them up and pushed hard then set the switch. When I released the switch I could feel the pressure really let loose just in the pedal. I have a feeling that was my problem thanks.

When I'm up at the line the adrineline is flowing and I feel like I'm being rushed even though not the case at all. See...... another one of those things that will go away with seat time.
