Well folks my AFM sponsored 88 GT (thanks Scott) pulled a best time of 14.207 at 96 mph last week on ET drag slicks. Although the track is an old airstrip converted to a drag strip for one weekend a year, my 60 ft times were in the 1.8 zone all with the bone stock factory suspension.
The format was a bracket race with multiple classes. I was pulling off reaction times in the mid .500 mark most of the time.
Scott you will be happy to know that the anouncer at the track made it a point of telling everyone there (over 10,000 people) that I was sponserd by AllFordMustangs.Com Thanks for the window banners.
10 runs later I ended up with a third in my class. I could of easily got 2nd or 1st but I was so nervous that i missed shifted into 2nd when it really counted.
Later on the way home that night my headlinghts go out. uugghhh Not a nice feeling.
Can't wait till next year and shoot for the 13's
