Ok, I'll nix the line lock idea, I thought that's what it was made for......

More than likely then, it's my inexperience. Unfortunately, my practice session was nixed with the line lock idea due to rain tonight. I don't think the problem is with the clutch not being depressed far enough but, I could be blind to it due to nerves. It may be me just not coming to a complete stop to begin with. When the adrenilin is pumping, I want to go man!!!

Reggie, I was at Orlando Speedworld. You would probably know more than anyone if the track is flat or not.

Just slow everything down. They don't have the tree on "Auto Start" for most test-n-tune nights.

Like I tell everyone. When you get to the burnout box it's your show. Don't let anyone rush you. Take your time. Develope a routine and follow it.

Heck once I get the signal to start the burnout I don't pay too much attention to the track crew (actually none) I watch my guys.

So remember, go slow. Get about a foot or so from the beams and then crawl that car forward. once you get the prestage lit wait till the other guy lights his. Once his is lit then creep forward AND I MEAN SLOW. You want to barely turn the stage beam on, try to make it flicker before it goes solid. Then get ready to launch the car.

Orlando more or less is my home track.....

I have never had a problem at the line.....

The only problem there is traction or should i say the lack of it.....

As everyone is saying just take your time and stage the car .....

Like PL said, just take your time when staging. Wait till another guy comes up who also wants his opponent to stage first and then you two have a staging battle. That's something I personally haven't ever worried about is who stages first, but some do.

Had a stagging battle with my buddy Richard a few months back. Looked over at him and he flipped me off!

Everybody figured he'd give me the race....yeah, like either one of us would let the other win! He tried to burn me down! Didn't happen!
