I was going through some old posts, and i read about someone talking about fuel lines. Mine is still the original 5/16 line, is that to small for the power that i'm making? Could it be starving my carb.

you need about 500hp to get into the low 12s, from that setup you have you might have 400( a good dyno test/tuner should help with fuel/carb issues)...you will need to find/add 100hp, I agree a 100 shot/NOS is a good idea if you have the right bottom end.

based on the numbers the car is close to high 12 sec potential....

a little more seat time & cooler weather will help you.....

the 60' is good so it doesn't appear traction is a problem.....

Bigger fuel lines will also help the cause. If you throw a shot on there it will need more gas anyway. Right Reggie!

I only made that comment because I myself am learning more about nitrous and thinking about using it.

Humidity and heat are killing times now come next month the cooler air will be here. Just have fun and work on the shifting and reaction times. The hot months are for test and tuning come Oct THE number will be there. It is only number , the main thing is having fun. Do not loose that in chase of the number.

I've been going thru some old posts and it seems 100 shot is going to be in my future! I'll go to a 3/8 fuel line. What would you guys suggest for a pump, and what would be the best nitrous kit for my application.

before you make up your mind on the nitrous...

realize a supercharger will be cheaper in the long run... and the power will always be there

I disagree. I doubt his motor is making 400 HP, and 500 HP is def. not required for low 12s.

68steve, I think you should list more specs about your setup so we can steer you in the right direction to help you along in your quest to find low 12s. Nitrous is great, but there are also other avenues I'm sure you would consider. How much money are you willing to invest? By the way----those numbers are not bad . Good luck with her.

what converter are you using? may need a little more, and a little more carb along with that fuel line.

Definitely, tell us more about your combination. What are you launching at? What rpms you shift at? Also seems to me 5500 is a tad low for crossing the line.
