This isn't what they mean by canted valves is it? LOL I finally got around to pulling the bent exhaust valves out of my Pro Comp heads. They were damaged in the blow up detailed in my carnage thread. Do you think that Mr valve got to know Mr piston rather intimately?
At any rate before you all start telling me that it's not worth fixing Pro Comp heads here's the deal. I got a set of exhaust valves for free! That's right free. A friend put a real high lift cam in his car and needed longer stemmed valves so he gave me his old ones. They are in excellent condition and will serve well in this application. They also happen to be the right length, head and stem diameter for my heads.
So I plan to put the new valves in the Pro Comps, then eventually put the Pro Comps on the truck motor that's in my car now. They have to be better than the stock iron heads that are on it.
Then this winter when I build the new 408 I'll buy some good heads for it and put that motor in the car. I'll then have the truck motor pretty much still complete as a spare, which I hope I'll never need.
