Default Eaton 2003 Mustang Cobra goes 10.19 @ 132

went up to the regular Wednesday rental today. All I really wanted to do was make a few passes to log the car now that Im running no heat exchanger. anyways, Ill post all the good info for you to see. start temp is before launch and end temp is peak rpm

First run, off the trailer

coolant start temp - 140 / end temp 190
downstreams - 72 / end temp 94!!!
air charge - 86 / end temp 76
air temp was 76, DA was 985ft

1.41
6.49 @ 105.82
10.21 @ 131.95

2nd run

coolant start temp - 178 / end temp 190
downstreams - 78 / end temp 98
air charge - 92 / end temp 78
air temp was 74, DA was 883ft

1.41
6.48 @ 106.15!!!!
10.19 @ 132.18!!!

3rd run

coolant start temp - 170 / end temp 180
downstreams - 78 / end temp 98
air charge - 90 / end temp 78
air temp was 74, DA was 892ft

1.42 - tried higher 2 step...booo
6.50 @ 106.08
10.21 @ 132.41

was going to go for a 4th but I was happy where I was. Still needs some suspension tweaking. I think adding the 6 glalon tank in the back changed my setup more than I thought.

oh, and I had the passenger seat in the car and it was its heaviest all year. it weighed 3370 w/ half tank of gas and me in it today.

What pulley sizes? That Eaton HAS to have a SERIOUS Port done? Do you have a Solid Rear Axle now? I would bet the farm on Yes with 1.4 60 Ft times? haha!! Thanks CJ

here is a quick breakdown for ya bud

Its a Steig stage 4 that was re-ported by Posi Performance. picked up a bunch under the curve and about 5 peak hp on 15#s of boost.

stock longblock
ported blower w/ 2.93 - 4#
JLT CAI
billetflow tb ported by Posi
full exhaust, no cats, no muffs
c4 trans
solid 8.8 w/ 4.10s
a/c delte
ps delete
pb delete
HE delete
battery in trunk
6 gallon ic res in trunk
car has full interior, power windows/locks and working radio and is registered and insured and was at the cruise night last week

Sweet 60 ft times! Drive it like you hate it! Will I ever see 1.4 with a 5 speed??? I'm jonesing for 10s. Only been to the track twice...

My friends shop just did a C4 swap with Vortech T-Trim on an 04 Mach1, the thing is Fricken SICK! The owner wanted more consistent launches and the Stick wasn't working for him plus he's an older retired guy haha!! Even with the stuff you listed those times and traps are Very Impressive! Gents and ladies yet another 10 sec (knocking on 9's) Eaton, TAKE that Whipple and Kenne Guys!! Ha!!
What are you putting down? 530-540 rwhp? And when is the 2.76 upper going on?
Fuel system? Twin GT's? Fiore? And are you running a catch can? I see a breather on the pass valve cover but can't see where the PCV hose is routed? And FYI do you still have your AC stuff?

a/c stuff is gone

car put down 495 through the 6 speed, 465 through the 4r70w w/ converter locked. no idea through the c4...prob like 440-450ish.

might try a 6# lower in the next couple weeks

stock fuel system w/ 60s and a BAP.

Breather replaced the line to the intake. everything else is stock

Building it right from the beginning is always better than starting over to build it better because it was temporary.

93' LX hatch, 460 with mods, TH400 trans, 9" w/ 3.89 spool. Best (so far!) of 10.18 @ 131 mph with 1.39 60'

After the last blow-up I hope to be running soon. Sold off the Vortech S-Trim and picked up a T-76 Turbonetics...rebuilt the motor with a cobra block...looking forward to driving...been down just over 2 years.

And it's crazy how much driveline loss your getting with the C4, I guess it's a worthy compromise for that SICK consistency!!
