Last nights track outing! Went to the track last night, after a slow start(forgot to turn off the traction control) times got way better. My best run was a 9.06 @ 79 mph for the 1/8 mile. I think with a little more practice high 8's could happen. Still have traction problems the pirellies aren't to good for the track. My car seems to have really come alive after I hit the 20,000 mile mark! Best I got last year was a 9.29 and I haven't changed anything.

Excellent. A lighter driveshaft and or flywheel will help as well. Are you on 17 or 18 inch wheels? Pirellis are good for about 2.1-2.2 in the 60' and will slow you down a bit, overall. Are your spare tire/jack still in there? Leave them in the pits! Race with less than 1/4 tank of fuel, for weight.

Pirellis are about as bad as it gets for the track.

Those tires are great for smoke shows though.

Sounds like the best advice has all been given. Some good Mickey thompson ET Streets and you may just get that 8.
