Just curious, and God forbid you wreck your car going down the track. But would the insurance cover you? I mean like Geico, Progressive, etc.
My guess is if they find out your even drag racing they probably drop you from their insurance.
Something I've always wondered, I love drag racing. But I just don't want to end up possibly totaling my baby and not getting a replacement car, and still paying on the one I wrecked.
I've heard of drag racing insurance, but they don't cover you when your going down the track. Kinda defeats the purpose of paying for DRAG RACING insurance...
Please discuss, thanks.

As far as i know, with what i have (allstate) They will not take any kind of claim if you wreck your car at the strip, I believe they will actually drop you if they even find out you race. Now if you wreck it and then have to towed out to the street and set it next to a tree..."i hit a deer...then a tree" ...

ok so my mother works for Geico and she says that no regular car insurance company, no matter the type of coverage, covers drag racing. weather its on a sanctioned track or not, its not in the policy as a covered event. there is, however, drag racers insurance available through some 3rd party insurance. just google it and youll see. but yeah, u wreck ur car and its your pocket that will be hurting, not the insurance companies.

I don't know, 30 years in federal prison for insurance fraud doesn't sound to inviting...

i know of a person that wrecked a brand new gt500 at the track then had it towed somewhere and claimed it on insurance. I dont advise but if i was 50-60g's in the hole on a car i would def give it a try.

I would def tow it somewhere else, far away from the track, though if caught with insurance fraud, that won't be good either. But have the tow truck push it into the tree alittle to make it more realistic.

Just make sure you don't have DR or Slicks on the car.
