4.6 Auto, 3.73 gears, C&L CAI, Diablo 91 octane tune, drag radials, and a saftey loop. What else do I need for a 14 second bracket car?
[quote=RLG34750;1711877]adjusting tire pressure is one way........
suspension set up (weight transfer)
higer launch rpm (generating more tire speed)
Okay now I'm confused and sometimes that don't take much.
How would the suspension cause the tires to just absolutely grip without sliping, then you mentioned higher lauch rpm. If higher rpm wouldn't that increase chances of wheel spin instead of dead hooking?

93' LX hatch, 460 with mods, TH400 trans, 9" w/ 3.89 spool. Best (so far!) of 10.18 @ 131 mph with 1.39 60'

for example if you have you front shock set a 90/10 it will shift the weight quicker to rear tire that if the were set at 70/30
so the dynamic pressure on the tires would be less and they would spin more....
yes higher rpm would promote more tire spin......

'88 LX Hatch With A Little Of This & A Little Of That...... 10.39 @128 MPH Soon to be faster....
When i had some MT's a few years back, it dead hooked when i launched at 2K rpms and it fell hard on bogging. Next round, i launched at 3Krpms and it hooked withoug bogging.
You just have to play with all of it, like mentioned to get the best run/time with minimal spin/bogging.

It was a violent run. Car was never to go that high. Our bad on the setup. It was a Friday Street night and the car was set up for a slippery track without the wheelie bars. Off the trans brake and the car stood up, short shifting the 1-2 made it go higher. Came down hard about 1/8 mile and bounced several times. Out of the gas at mid track and coasted across the finish line. Broke the brand new headers and smuched the oil pan. Lucky no oil leakage. Car went 9.65 back then (2003?). Looking to break 9.20's this fall. Not too shabby for a NA LS1 engine.

I think I got it now. I have 90/10's in front and have the rear set at 50/50 to start with. No front sway bar this time. I am increasing the tire pressure to 12psi this time to start. The tires wrinkled a LOT at 9psi. I really need 28" tires but I have 26's so they are going to get ran hard....thanks for the input. Damn nice wheel stand in the video. Too bad it came down so hard.
